This is a pretty traditional entertainment center. It is made from cherry in a shaker style. The upper center unit has slide away pocket doors that reveal room for a 36" TV. Under the TV stand in the upper unit are cubbies for audio/video components. In the lower center unit there are 4 large drawers sized to hold CD's, DVD's and VHF tapes. Under the drawers is more storage space.
The side cabinets feature a V-grooved back. There are accent lights hidden behind a panel that highlight the V-groove back as well as items displayed on the top shelf. Behind the doors on the bottom is storage space.
This photo shows the crown molding detail as well as the fluted columns. The columns where done to add interest to the what otherwise would have been a boring front face frame. In this picture you can also see pocket doors in the hide away position.
