The top of the desk is made from one large piece of wood. The slab that this board came from was 40" wide by 1" thick by 14' long. The customer wanted the unique bark edge left on to add character. The base is made from curly maple with ebony inlay. The cubby on top of the desk features full extension drawers and little slots for mail and other objects. The shelf under the table is to hold the computer.
